Elastic stress relaxation in crystallized metallic glass Fe40Ni40P14B6

Description
Experiments on relaxation of shear stresses in glass mentioned in the title are carried out. Relaxation is realized through diffusive transfer of atoms for distances equalling the size of eutectic plates λ. Due to λ spread relaxation time has a wide distribution. Eutectic structure during annealing indergoes evolution, which has an effect both on size distribution function and the most probable plate sized. The latters grow with time as t1/3
