Description

An attempt is made to determine influence of non-stoichiometry and presence of impurities on photoferromagnetic effect (PFE) in CdCr2Se4 monocrystals. Compositions of dichromium-cadmium tetraselenide, on which the PFE is found, are stated to lie outside the range of homogeneity. Total content of impurities in crystals having the PFE. The PFE was not found in monocrystals with nickel concentration of ∼ 10-2 mass%. The maximum is observed on the curve of dependence of the PFE value on chromium concentration. It is assumed that monocrystals of dichromium-cadmium tetraselenide at ∼ 25 at.% chromium will have maximum PFE
