Description
One of the various challenges facing our government today is how to accelerate development to guarantee our people their basic needs in life. As a science and technology agency, the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) is deeply aware of this challenge as it continues to undertake R&D within the framework of the national development goal. At the same time the PAEC is bound to regulate the use of nuclear facilities in the interest of public health and safety. So while the PAEC seeks to promote the peaceful uses of atomic energy, it also sets safety standards for the local nuclear industry.
