Risk perception and technical interactions: Volcanism studies for the Yucca Mountain Site Characterization Project
Description
This paper summarizes probabilistic approaches to evaluating the risk of volcanism at Yucca Mountain. Interactions with the State of Nevada, regulatory agencies, and review groups concerning the volcanism issue have been extensive, and some of these groups have developed alternative models for assessing volcanism. The results of different models are briefly compared
