Study on 16O(π+,K+)Λ16O reaction with account of continuum spectra

Description

The cross section of associative production of Λ16O hypernucleus in the reaction (π+,K+) is calculated in the frame of the distorted wave impulse approximation. The oscillator representation of the scattering theory is used to take into account the Λ-particle continuum. The hole states of nuclear core, such as s-1, are investigated. It is shown that excited states (s-1sΛ)Jπ=0+ form the peak in the cross section of the reaction 16O(π+,K+)Λ16O in the energy region EΛ∼12-14 MeV
