  • 1. Tokyo Inst. of Tech. (Japan). Research Lab. of Nuclear Reactor

Description

Miscellaneous uses of ion exchange technology are described for isotope separation of light elements (lithium, boron and nitrogen), separation of uranium isotopes and other actinide elements, and for the recovery of uranium from phosphoric acid solutions. Application of ion exchange membrane is also indicated for the electrolytic reduction of uranium and for the decomposition of ammonium ion in the alpha-bearing liquid wastes. (author)
