Description
Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) has been enrolled in the Natural Analogue Project in Koongarra Uranium deposit in Australia from 1987. The results of the project suggested that alteration of minerals effected on the migration of Uranium in geosphere and a part of Uranium was fixed to the secondary mineral (iron mineral) in the process of mineral alteration. In addition, this fixation was found in other elements, experimentally. (K.H.)
