Sliding scattering of fast electron by a solid body surface

Description

By means of specially developed technique and experimental equipment investigation is carried out of angular distributions of electrons with energies 3.3-8.2 MeV, scattered off the surfaces of graphite, aluminium, copper and lead reflectors for angles of incidence 3-30 deg relative to the reflector surface. It is shown that the dependence of differential albedo on the atomic number of sample and on the electron energy vanishes at a sliding drop and the integral coefficient tends to unity. The probable angle of reflection becomes less than the angle of incidence. The experimental results are shown graphically. Comparison provides satisfactory agreement of theoretical and experimental data at sliding angles of scattering
