Description

A host material for nuclear waste management needs to be stable to radiation damage effects. These studies have shown that the nitride compounds damage much less rapidly or not at all compared to silicate and other compounds with oxygen bonding. As a consequence, the nitride ceramics can be suggested as possible host materials
