Description
The paper and presentation are devoted to the United States efforts to replace and recover Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators RTGs in the Russian Federation. Since 2003, United States and Russian Federation had been working in two joint efforts. The first one was between DOE and Institute of Technical Physics and Automation to addressed securing non-military RTGs in Russia; the second effort was between DOE, Kurchatov Institute and Russian Ministry of Defence to addresses military RTGs.
