Description
This patent describes a flexible ceramic heterostructure. It comprises a substrate comprising partially stabilized yttria-stabilized zirconia having between 2 and 5 mole % yttria; a buffer layer comprising fully stabilized yttria-stabilized zirconia having between 8 and 18 mole % yttria and deposited on the substrate; and a thin film comprising a high-temperature ceramic superconductor deposited on the buffer layer
