Study of objective signs of chronic lymphedema of the lower limbs
Description
The authors try to codify a report of exams in chronic lymphedema of the lower limbs. The study dealt with 142 patients of whom 125 had a lymphedema of varying etiology and 17 were used as controls. A critical analysis, with comparison of the various methods of examination, is done: patent Blue test, plebography, histological study of lymphatic vessels, radiologic lymphography, and lymphography with isotopes. This last exam provides two parameters: the time lapse for the appearance of radio-activity in the draining lymph nodes and the fast rise of the radio activity curves

Les auteurs tentent de codifier un bilan d'examen du lymphoedeme chronique des membres inferieurs. Leur etude porte sur 142 patients, dont 125 presentent un lymphoedeme d'etiologie tres diverse et 17 sont examines a titre de temoins. Une analyse critique avec confrontation des differentes methodes d'examen est faite: epreuve au bleu, phlebographie, etude histologique des vaisseaux lymphatiques, lymphographie radiologique, lymphographie isotopique. Cette derniere rend compte de deux parametres: le delai d'apparition de la radioactivite au niveau des relais ganglionnaires et la rapidite d'ascension des courbes de radio-activiteAdditional details
