Crystal and molecular structure of europium (3) tris-(1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-2,4-pentadionato)-bis-triphenylphosphine oxide
Description
Eu(O2C3H(CF3)2)3OP(C6H5)3)2 X-ray crystallographic study is performed. The crystals are monoclinic : a=30.86(2), b13.160(9), c=13.574(6)A, γ=90.79(4) deg, Z=4 , f. gr. P21/a. Eu atom in the complex coordinates six O atoms of chelate groups and two O atoms of monodentate triphenylphosphin oxide (Eu-O(TPPO) 1.31 and 132 (1) A). The polyhedron form is dodecahedron which can be referred to a square antiprism. The symmetry approaches D4D. Phosphorus atom coordination is conventional, i.e. slightly distorted tetrahedral. The main bond lengths are O-P 1.51-1.52, P-C 1.71-1.81 A. Angles of metal cycle bend in the O...O line are 6.9; 0.8 and 9.9
