Description

The results of phase equilibria studying in the CaNb2O6-LaNb3O9 system in the temperature range from 1.250 deg C to the melting point are summarized in this paper. A phase diagram of the system has been constructed from the results of X-ray and crystal-optical analyses, which reveals its eutectic nature with a melting point of 1.345+-10 deg C at 36 mol.% LaNb3O9 and 64 mol.% CaNb2O6, as well as limited solid solutions based on the starting compounds with the following content of the dissolved components: 10+-2.5 mol.% LaNb3O9 and 25+-2.5 mol.% CaNb2O6
