Electric field distribution associated with lower hybrid heating of a Tokamak plasma
Creators

Description
The lower hybrid heating implies large electric fields near the coils or antennas used for the excitation of the waves in the plasma. The electric field distribution is discussed for a grill: inhomogeneities near metal edges, resonance cones, electron Landau damping. Evanescent eigenmodes are stressed to be very important for the evaluation of the electric field, but to little influence the reflection coefficient of the grill and the power spectrum transmitted
