Description
The Creys Malville licensing procedure requires NERSA, as owner and operator of the plant, to provide the French Safety Authorities with an analysis of highly hypothetical accident sequences liable to result in loss of overall core integrity. The dynamic behavior of the reactor during such sequences was accordingly analyzed in 1978 by NOVATOME-NIRA, supplier of the nuclear boiler Super Phenix equipping the Creys Malville plant, and by the French Atomic Energy Commission Fast Breeder Reactor Division, holder of the system license. The general trends derived from these analyses are summarized in this paper
