A device for measuring local power in a nuclear reactor fuel assembly
Description
This invention relates to a device for the local measurement of the quantity of heat produced within the fuel in a nuclear reactor core assembly based on a gamma ray thermometer. Particular objects of the invention are the construction of a reliable, accurate and small gamma thermometer which can be used in gamma fluxes considerably higher than those occurring in heavy water reactors, e.g. fluxes in light-water reactors.
