Laser with unstable resonator for technical applications
- 1. Vavilov State Optical Inst., St. Petersburg (Russian Federation)
Description
A Nd:YAG laser consisting of four active 6.3 x 100-mm elements with strong thermo-induced lenslike distortions and an unstable resonator with a dumping mirror was studied. Maximum power output of the laser was 300 W: angular divergence of the laser beam was 1.5 mrad, which exceeded the diffraction limit by 6 times. 5 refs., 3 figs
