Effects of surface hardening treatments on wear resistance of Mo and TZM sheet
Creators
Description
Attempts were made to determine the effects of three different surface hardening treatments on the wear resistance of unalloyed Mo and TZM. The surface treatments were boriding, siliciding and nitriding. Boride and silicide layers were 100% dense. The nitride layers displayed porosity. A good metallurgical bond was achieved in all three surface-hardening systems
