Measurement of the field evaporation rate of several transition metals
Description
The field dependence of the field evaporation rate of surface layers has been measured for several transition metals (Mo, Ru, Hf, W, Ir, Pt). From the data, the polarisability and the effective distance to the metal surface of kink-site atoms are derived. (author)
