Titanium(4) and thorium(4) sorption by silica-based phosphonic sorbents
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
Silica-based phosphonic sorbents have a high affinity to titanium zirconium, hafnium and to scandium. A sorbent with grafted phosphonic acid groups extracts more than 90% of the elements even from 6 M HCl. The distribution coefficients reach n x 104 cm3/g under optimal conditions. Methods have been developed of enrichment of Ti and Th from diluted solutions and of separation of Ti and Th from 103-fold amounts of Fe(3)
