Review of direct lepton production in nucleon--nucleon collisions

Creators

  • 1. Univ. of Chicago, IL

Description

In the lecture is reviewed the experimental status of the observation of direct lepton production in nucleon--nucleon collisions. It is concluded that the yield of direct leptons cannot be understood in terms of identifiable sources. The techniques of measurement, current data, known sources of direct leptons, and speculations on other possible sources and suggestions for further investigation are considered. 34 references
