Controlled fusion in devices with a dense plasma

Creators

Description

Results of experiments on plasma confinement, thermal insulation and heating in devices with a dense plasma are described. Principles of thermonuclear reactor construction are outlined. The reactor is a rigid conducting vessel about 10 m long and approximately 10 cm in inner diameter. The magnetic field average intensity is 105 Gs, mirror ratio is 3. About 10 mirror devices are located on each side. Approximately 1018 cm-3 dense plasma is produced in the central part of the device by a relativistic electron beam injected at one of the sides. Thermal energy of plasma is 108 J. Plasma lifetime (104 s) is sufficient for the formation of an energy positive output
