Synchro-betatron resonances excited by the beam-beam interaction at a crossing angle in the SSC
Description
The excitation of synchro-betatron resonances by the beam-beam interaction with a crossing angle at the SSC is studied by means of numerical simulations. The results show that, at the present design crossing angle, there is enough working space in the betatron tune diagram to avoid these resonances, mainly thanks to the small synchrotron tune
