The design and operation of an 18-orbits microtron
Description
A brief description of the microtron built at the Institute of Nuclear Research is presented. Some results of the microtron tests are given. Maximum total energy of electrons exceeds 13 MeV. The pulse current of the extracted beam is 30 mA at the energy of 10 MeV. Advantages of microtrons are stressed. Applications are described. (author)
