Interaction of the titan and nickel with carbon at electric spark alloying in carbon-bearing media

Description

Penetration of carbon from methane, carbonic gas and glycerin in nickel and the titan including with put preliminary multicomponent nickel-phosphoric covering it is studied by means of of some modern methods of the physical and chemical analysis. Distribution of atoms, phase structure and mechanical properties of diffusion zones are certain after electric spark alloy addition. It is shown, that use of media with the high contents of carbon during electrical discharge machining metals and alloys allows to give to near-surface layers new properties. (authors)
