Putting Tepco's tenth BWR into operation at Fukushima

Description
The fourth and final unit of Fukushima II (Daiini) is scheduled for entry into commercial operation in August 1987. The design evolution represented by the ten Fukushima units is summarised. Operating experience is discussed and the measures taken to reduce radiation exposure are detailed. A number of design innovations incorporated into Fukushima II, compared with Fukushima I (Daiichi), are described. (U.K.)
