Determination of the number of light neutrino families from e+e-→ν bar νγ

Description
In this paper the determination of the number of the light neutrino families, Nν, obtained from the measurement of the cross-section of the radiative process e+e-→ν bar νγ at LEP is discussed. The first result, Nν=3.0±0.4±0.2, (73 events) was obtained from the OPAL Collaboration. A recent measurement, Nν=3.14±0.24±0.12 (202 events) obtained by L3, is described in some detail
