Comparison of laser and arc welding processes
Description
Processes of laser and arc welding are compared. The effective and thermal efficiencies for the laser welding (LW) is shown to be equal to 0.35-0.65 and 0.38-0.42, respectively. It has been established that the laser welding of 18Kh2N3MDA, 10Kh16N4B, 30KhGSA, 28Kh3SNMVFA high-strength steels provides the increased resistance to the delayed fracture in the whole investigated rate range in comparison with the argon-arc weldinq. It has been also found that the LW provides the 3-5 time decrease of residual longitudinal strains and 5-6 time decrease of residual transverse strains
