High energy scattering and hadron structure
Description
High energy proton-proton scattering is analyzed using the geometrical impact parameter representation. Assuming that the proton is a composete state of quarks, whose distribution within the proton is expressed by the electromagnetic form factors, the quark-quark scattering amplitude is obtained. Our analyses indicate that the proton is made of almost structureless particles.
