Relativistic effects on the optical potential of deformed U+U nuclei
- 1. Tuebingen Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Inst. fuer Theoretische Physik
Description
The relativistic energy-density functional derived by Ohtsuka et al. from the Dirac-Brueckner approach to nuclear matter is applied to calculate a relativistic real and imaginary U+U potential. Comparison with non-relativistic calculations are presented and discussed. It was found that the relativistic effects change slightly the imaginary part while changes in the real part depend appreciably on the relative orientations of the two U-nuclei. (orig.)
