Description
Characterization of RF cavities is a prerequisite before using them in any system. This paper describes the automation of cavity characterization by bead pull technique. A setup was developed comprising of vector network analyzer (VNA), stepper motor controller and a PC. A software was developed in labview which controls the VNA and stepper motor controller remotely from PC. The software provides online resonant frequency profile for the cavity, calibration of VNA and data storage, facility. (author)
