Description
The ideal formula of L,L-EC radiopharmaceutical has been obtained, which was consist of L,L-EC (L,L-ethyl di cystein) ligand,36 mg of Na2HPO4.2H2O, 15 mg of manitol and 0,2 mg SnCI2.2H2O. The dried kit of this radiopharmaceutical was desained in two vials. The results shows that 99mTc-L,L-EC radiopharmaceutical has the characteristics as follows : radiochemical purity more than 95%, most hydrophilic with 1/P=3797 (Log 1P=3.6), in the negative ion form (anion), plasma protein binding was 63.3±3.45% and it was non-toxic. The results that using 50 mCi of 99mTc- pertechnetate with the final volume of 5mL, after 5 hours storage at room temperature Tc-L.L-EC was still stable. In the dried kit form, it was remained stable 6 months of storage at 4oC. The results of clinical study to the volunteer having normal and abnormal renal show this radiopharmaceutical can be used for renal function study as the replacement of 131I-ortho iodo hippuric acid (OIH)
