Bistable solitons-near the plasma resonance in magnetized plasma

Description
A generalized nonlinear Schroedinger equation including second- and fourth-order dispersive effects as well as local and nonlocal nonlinearities is used to find out conditions for stable upper-hybrid and low-hybrid soliton formations. It is shown that, under certain conditions, this equation has two stable soliton solutions with the same number of quanta but different spatial scales
