Preparation of spherical oxide particles by microwave hydrolysis of Zr(IV), Ce(IV), Ni(II) salts solutions

Influence of microwave hydrolysis parameters of concentrated water and water-alcohol solutions of zirconium(IV) and cerium(IV) salts on the processes of formation, morphology and character of particles distribution by size was studied to develop methods for preparation of oxide particles featuring spherical shape and narrow granulometric composition. Data of X-ray phase analysis and electron microscopy suggest that microwave treatment involves quantitative hydrolysis of the salts and permits preparation of particles mainly of spherical shape with a narrower distribution by size compared with hydrolysis under conventional heating

С целью разработки методов получения оксидных частиц сферической формы узкого гранулометрического состава изучено влияние параметров микроволнового гидролиза концентрированных водных и водно-спиртовых растворов солей циркония(IV) и церия(IV) на процессы формирования, морфологию и характер распределения частиц по размерам. На основе данных рентгенофазового анализа и электронной микроскопии показано, что микроволновая обработка приводит к количественному гидролизу солей и позволяет получать частицы преимущественно сферической формы с более узким распределением по размеру по сравнению с гидролизом при обычном нагревеAdditional details
