A case of apparent spinal cord tumor in a girl in remission of acute myeloblastic leukemia. Idiopathic spinal cord oedema

Description
Paraparesis of lower extremities occurred in a child treated previously for acute myeloblastic leukemia. The laboratory tests excluded myeloblastic recurrence. Myelography, CT and clinical findings suggested extramedullary expansive process. Surgery revealed only edema of spinal cord. Laminectomy was performed resulting in full remission of clinical symptoms. In follow-up CT the spinal cord was found normal. (author)
