Excess kinetic energies of ionization products of electron impact processes
Description
The excess kinetic energies of negative and positive fragment ions produced by electron impact were determined by best fitting of calculated ion decay curves to the measured ones. The most probable kinetic energies of the ions only were calculated assuming Gaussian-like, or Maxwell-Boltzmann energy distributions. The results for O+(O2), O−(N2O), N2+(N2O), and S−(COS) are in good agreement with other reported data.
