Effect of the heat treatment on the structure and properties of the nitrided austenitic-martensitic steel 08Kh14AN4MDB

Description
In a high strength stainless nitrogen-bearing steel type 08Kh14AN4MDB the phase transformations on heating within a temperature range of 20-1000 Deg C are studied. The temperatures are determined for the onset of reverse (α→γ)-transformation (600 Deg C) and the finish of chromium carbonitrides dissolution (1000 Deg C). It is shown that in the steel in quenched and tempered states the retained austenite occurs in the form of thin interlayers along α-crystal boundaries, prolonged areas between α-crystals and near the boundaries of prior austenite grains. Thermal treatment conditions of the steel are determined which provide a good combination of tensile strength, tensile ductility and corrosion resistance in a 3.5%-NaCl solution
Abstract (Russian)
Изучены фазовые превращения в процессе нагрева в интервале температур 20-1000 град C высокопрочной коррозионно-стойкой азотсодержащей стали типа 08Kh14AN4MDB. Определены температуры начала обратного (α→γ)-превращения (600 град C) и конца растворения карбонитридов хрома (1000 град C). Показано наличие в структуре стали в закаленном и отпущенном состояниях остаточного аустенита в виде тонких прослоек по границам α-кристаллов, протяженных областей между α-кристаллами и около границ бывших аустенитных зерен. Установлены режимы термической обработки стали, обеспечивающие получение хорошего сочетания прочности, пластичности при испытаниях на растяжение и коррозионной стойкости в 3,5%-ном растворе NaClAdditional details
