Description
VLA observations with an angular resolution of 2 arcsec have resulted in the discovery of five 4.8-GHz H2CO masers in the HII-region/molecular-cloud complex Sgr B2. Only one other H2CO maser is known (in NGC 7538). Observed with a velocity resolution of 6 km s-1, the maser intensities ranged from 15 to 140 mJy. The strongest masers are located close to HII continuum emission and OH and H2O masers. (author)
