Overview of the United States P and T programme
Description
This document presents synthetically the Unites States research and development program concerning the radioactive wastes treatment. The United States Department of Energy has a number of initiatives to promote the growth of nuclear energy in Nuclear power 2010 project, advanced fuel cycle initiative, nuclear hydrogen initiative and generation IV. It provides also information on spent fuel management, separation approach and technology, advanced fuels research, materials research and international collaborations. (A.L.B.)
