Determination of plutonium in environmental objects and biological materials
Creators
Description
Possibilities of known methods of determination of plutonium in human being, biological materials and environmental ob ects are analyzed in the review. Peculiarities of separation, concentration and purification of ultrasmall masses of plutonium from solutions with complicated composition are considered. A new method of plutonium determination is proposed which allows one to analyze objects with increased contents of 234U, 232U, 228Th, 241Am and other alpha-radiating nuclides. The method is based on extractive-chromatographic separation of plutonium from a sample of analyzed solution in columns with metyltrioctylammonium nitrate on an inactive carrier
