Some aspects of the effect of gravity on the superfluid transition in 4He
Description
After a brief review of the experimental study of the effect of gravity on the superfluid transition, various options are discussed for choosing a reference superfluid-transition temperature for a sample in the presence of gravity where there is no unique transition. Thereafter, some presently feasible experiments are discussed, which could be substantially improved in a microgravity environment. 66 refs
