Description

Objective: To study changes of serum CA153, SF and TSGF levels after operation in patients with breast cancer. Methods: Serum CA153, SF (with RIA) and TSGF (with biochemistry) levels were measured in 31 patients with breast cancer both before and 3 months after operation as well as in 35 controls. Results: Before operation, in the patients the serum CA153, SF and TSGF levels were significantly higher than those in the controls (P<0.01). Three months after operation, the serum CA153, SF, TSGF levels dropped markedly and were not significantly different from those in controls (P>0.05). Conclusion: Detection of serum CA153, SF and TSGF levels is valuable for the diagnosis and outcome prediction in patients with breast cancer. (authors)
