Instanton effects in the meson and baryon spectrum

Description
The Bethe-Salpeter equation provides a suitable basis for the formulation of a covariant constituent quark model for both mesons and baryons. With the concept of effective, constituent quarks and instantaneous potentials both for confinement and the spin-dependent residual quark interactions a successful description of the hadron spectra up to the highest angular momenta as well as numerous decays is achieved. This will be exemplified by a discussion of some prominent features in the resulting description of hadron properties
