Microscopic analysis of the inclusive spectra and polarization characteristics of (p,n), (n,p), (rvec p,rvec n), and (rvec n,rvec p) reactions of 54Fe at EN = 300 MeV

Description

The inclusive spectra of the reactions 54Fe(p,n) 54Co and 54Fe(n,p) 54Mn are calculated in the framework of the distorted-wave impulse approximation (DWIA) using nuclear transition densities obtained in the self-consistent theory of finite Fermi systems, assuming that the energy of the incident nucleons is EN ∼ 300 MeV. The calculated spectra are compared with TRIUMF experiments. Microscopic calculations of the transverse-polarization transfer coefficients are carried out for (rvec p,rvec n) and (rvec n,rvec p) reactions with polarized nucleons on 54Fe at EN ∼ 300 meV
