Automatic treatment method of background continuum of γ-ray spectra from whole body counting with NaI(Tl)

Description
The authors describe a computer method of automatic generation of background continuum from NaI(Tl) whole-body counting Gamma-ray spectra, according to principle of digital interpolation and etch peak. This simulative background was used to take the place of the background measured from 'background person'. The computer program of the method has been written in BASIC and FORTRAN-77, and run and tested on the TRS-80 and COPAM-PC-286S computer respectively. A complete whole-body spectra analysis program has been made up from combination of this program ATBK and the ND-ASAP software through a transform code READ written in the laboratory
