Description
An overall evaluation o value as blanket material in attempted. The ceramic exhibiting the lowest residence time for tritium is Li2ZrO3 which enables one to envisage operating with this material a ceramic blanket at temperatures even lower than with Li2O. Tentative conclusions from considerations on blanket concepts and experimental results that we quote in this paper favor giving more importance to studies of ceramic breeder blankets for NET or ITER than seems the case presently. 35 refs
