The damping effects of the vibrations in the core of a neutron star

  • 1. Nanjing Univ. (China). Dept. of Astronomy

Description

The damping effects of various kinds of state of matter, such as π-condensate and quark matter, on the vibrations of neutron stars are discussed. The damping in quark matter is shown to be more efficient than in π-condensate. (orig.)
