Description
The paper presents the results of study of spectroscopic and thermal characteristics of molecular co-crystals: 2-aminopyridine-4-nitrophenol-4-mtrophenolate (2AP4N) and 2,6- diaminopyridine-4-nitrophenol-4nitrophenolate (26DAP4N). Crystals were successfully grown by slow evaporation technique. Optical transparency in the region of 190-1100 was found to be suitable for applications with cut off wavelengths 420 and 430 nm respectively. Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis show good quality and thermal stability for studied crystals. Kurtz and Perry powder technique proves that the crystals are acentric and have significant nonlinear optical response. (paper)
