Quantum corrections to nontrivial classical solutions in phi4 theory

Description

Quantum corrections to the energy of a one-dimensional soliton and a three-dimensional wall are considered in the phi4 model with small coupling. The effects of mass, coupling constant, and field renormalization are taken into account. It is shown that divergences can be removed by renormalization in the vacuum sector
